Following the recent surge in popularity of samba music in Europe, the Axé genre has been charming the European public in places such as England, France, Spain and Portugal, and now comes to Ireland. Axé Music is the traditional rythym of Bahia’s Carnival. Great Brazilian Artists from Bahia like: Ivete Sangalo, Daniela Mercury and Carlinhos Brown became worldwide well known because of the swing and sway of the Music from Bahia!!

Caipirinha Band is the first Axé Music band based on Ireland, and is about to complete its first anniversary on next August. It was born when the three musicians from Bahia: Alexandre Montenegro, Bruno Nery and Jonathan Andrade, decided to put togheter a traditional Axé Music Band. After few concerts as a trio, the experienced musicians from São Paulo: Noa Stroeter and Alexandre Cesário came along to complete the team!
Caipirinha Band presents the colorful palette of styles that constitute the Axé Music genre: the downtempo Samba Reggae, a playful and relaxed rhythm that bears a resemblance to reggae, full of swing and sway; and galope, for full-on dancers. Warm latin beats and exotic harmonies for non-stop dancing.
Caipirinha hás performed in Ireland mostly in Dublin in places such as: Ruaille Buaille, the Odeon, the Rogue, Crawdaddy. Also in the country in cities as: Nass, Gort, Galway, Dundalk, in Northern Ireland as well.
